  1. Box Breathing: Inhale deeply for a count of four, hold the breath for a count of four, exhale for a count of four, and hold the breath out for a count of four. Repeat this cycle several times, allowing the rhythm of your breath to soothe your mind and body.

  2. 4-7-8 Breath: Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, hold the breath for a count of seven, and exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of eight. Feel the tension melting away with each exhale, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

  3. Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing): Gently close your right nostril with your thumb and inhale through your left nostril for a count of four. Close your left nostril with your ring finger, release your thumb, and exhale through your right nostril for a count of four. Repeat this cycle, allowing the gentle rhythm of your breath to bring balance and harmony to your mind and body.



4. Ocean Breath: (My personal favorite for easy focus) Sit comfortably and take a deep inhalation through your nose, filling your lungs. Exhale forcefully and audibly through your mouth, making a "haaaa" sound, as if you were fogging up a mirror. Allow each exhalation to be powerful and complete, mimicking the sound and rhythm of ocean waves. Feel a sense of release and purification with each breath. Inhale once again, this time through your mouth, drawing in the oceanic energy. Feel the warmth as the breath enters your body, nourishing you from within. Let it fill you with a sense of vitality and renewal. As you exhale, breathe out through your nose, allowing the breath to escape effortlessly. Sense the calming rhythm of your breath, mirroring the ebb and flow of the ocean waves. Release any worries or distractions as you let go with each breath.


Continue this pattern, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, followed by inhaling through your mouth and exhaling through your nose. Each full cycle represents one wave, connecting you deeper with the fluidity of the ocean. To complete the Ocean Breath meditation, simply hold your breath for up to 10 seconds and then exhale to release back into subconscious breathing.


Creating a Short and Consistent Practice: To make meditation a part of your daily routine, start small. Dedicate just a few minutes each day to your breathwork practice. Find a quiet space, sit comfortably, and allow the soothing rhythm of your breath to guide you into a state of relaxation.
